Bio

  Frank Soria – Leader/Drums

Frank has been playing drums over 40 years in a variety of styles from Jazz (Ken Peplowski’s Jazz Co. and The Eddie Paolucci Quartet) to Oldies (Memory Lane) to Show Bands (The original Sight-N-Sound and The Gigalos). Frank holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Music Education from Cleveland State University and has been the Band Director and Music teacher for Twinsburg City Schools for 25 years. Frank studied percussion with Robert Matson, Joe Adato and Donald Miller, all of the Cleveland Orchestra.

Anthony Anastasi – Trumpet

Anthony Anastasi is one of the areas finest jazz/big band trumpet players…Anthony has performed with some of Cleveland’s best jazz musicians including Ernie Krivda’s Fat Tuesday Big Band, Glenn Davis and the band Images and he has also co-led various salsa bands with tenor sax great Steve Samuels. In addition to his duties with Sight N Sound, Anthony can also be heard playing many venues with the T.O.P.S. Big Band. Anthony has a full time private trumpet teaching schedule at two local music studios…Check out his amazing solos and ensemble work with Sight n Sound.

brian200px Brian Bolden – Vocalist

Brian has been singing in the Cleveland area for many years. He has been the lead singer with The Blue Eyed Souls, The Reunion, Sight N Sound and Burnin’ Karma. Brian’s tremendous vocal range and great sense of pitch and phrasing makes him one of the area’s finest Motown singers. He is equally at home with a ballad or the most driving of Motown tunes…really a fantastic talent. Brian holds a Bachelors degree from Ohio University in communications. Sight N Sound is honored to have Brian back with us again.

 Bill Bill Borway – Keyboards and Vocals

Bill has been on the Cleveland and Akron music scene for many years playing in a variety of settings.  Bill has performed all occasion music with The Carnival Band in Cleveland as well The Good Grief oldies band in Akron.   In addition to this, he is equally comfortable playing jazz and cocktail piano in smaller settings as well…A truly accomplished and schooled player, Bill brings his own unique brand of keyboard playing and vocals to Sight N Sound.

 Bob200px Bob Ferritto – Bass Guitar and Vocals

Bob has been playing bass guitar for over 30 years in various Cleveland bands.  He started out playing the violin as a child but then switched over to the bass guitar in High School.  Bob has played in all occasion bands (Pyramid),  R&B (J.J. and the Blue Crew), oldies (Memory Lane), and ethnic (Joe Novak and Friends).  He is now the solid anchor to the SIGHT-N-SOUND rhythm section.

  Tony Ferritto – Tenor/Baritone Saxophone

Tony has been playing the Sax for over 40 years in a variety of bands from Blues to Oldies and Rhythm and Blues. Tony has performed with the Eddie Baccus Quartet, Joe Jeffries and his band, Blues Inc., The Heat and most recently Memory Lane. Tony’s great ensemble and solo work can be heard throughout Sight-N-Sound’s songs.

Gina Mangano bio Gina Mangano – Vocalist

Gina has been a guest singer with the local bands SHOUT!, The
Extremes, and Butch Armstrong and the Groove Co. She comes from an extended
family of well-seasoned singers and musicians and brings a fresh energy to the stage!

 Dennis Vargo Bio Dennis Vargo – Guiter and Vocals 

Dennis started performing at the age of 13 and appeared on stage with the Oak Ridge Boys and J.D. Sumner and the Stamps,the back up group for Elvis.  He traveled through out the country in the 70″s performing at many different types of venues from Holiday Inns to The Playboy Club.  Dennis has worked with a variety of local bands including Star Shine, Heads and Tails, Skinny Moo, The Mocney Brothers,The Back Up Band, Special Request,Carnival and Red Rain. He also has led his own band Nite Shift and has also performed on stage with Frankie Avalon.
